dress: Zara | jean jacket: Levi’s | shoes: Ardene

I was born in the 80’s, what can I say. Sometimes a high, slightly side, pony is the only way to do it. Somehow this Zara dress fits me to a T, and while I purchased it in Monaco, what lives in Zara Monaco, can also be found around the world. It’s a little odd to say, but wearing something so fitted is rare for me, I usually opt for oversized pieces, to balance my whole masculine-feminine style. This was shot at Evergreen Brick Works during SMUT SoirĂ©e (months ago now). The location is pretty unlike anything the rest of the city has to offer.

Polka Dot Crop

Sometimes twelve dollar pants are the ones that get you all the compliments. With a bold black and white print these H&M cropped pants are the perfect head turner and eye roller — at least I’m grabbing their attention, right? Every day it’s getting warmer and our layers are becoming less heavy. Blue skies ahead, please!

Styled: Coachella pt. 1

with 2 comments

This is something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. One of those “when I grow up” moments you just know will happen, and then when it finally does you just almost can’t believe it. Coachella is likely the most hyped music festival, and so you can understand how the anticipation of a year (yes, I purchased presale) has been slowly eating away at me.

One year means a lot of thought, especially for this girl who is notoriously in her head most of the time. One year also means being able to rethink that perfect festival outfit over and over.

Coachella Outfit 1

While ticking things off my “Must Have for Coachella” list, a new bikini was at the top. Little did I know that while attending the H&M Conscious launch, I would stumble upon five amazing teensy bikinis that fit just right! Naturally, next up was a crop top. This ruffled look (by Loft at Bungalow – where I adopted Regina) is girly enough to keep my Levi’s in line.

Watercolour Mini

with 2 comments

With the weather playing tricks on us, it’s hard to know when your next summer-like day will be, so it’s best to take advantage of the sunshine, even if some people continue to sport wool and fur-linen hooded jackets. On a particularly hot day, I paired a new Forever 21 by Rory Beca pink watercolour mini with a tied Joe Fresh blouse. It was all very silky and very simple for a day that seemed like July.

little-lbd and a jean jacket

Here’s segment two of our first Barbie Dream House outfit photos.  I found a theme within these two outfit post segments: cheap bangles and cheap sandals.  SOMETIMES (rarely) we try to be frugal.

Jean Jacket: Levi’s, Dress: Wilfred (Aritzia), Sandals: Wal-Mart, Sunglasses: Kensington

I’ve started to accumulate a lot of inexpensive jewelry, mostly from F21 (above bangles) and H&M.  The only issue with cheap silver jewelry is that it turns copper fast, but if you don’t want your finger to be dyed, paint clear nail polish on the inside band of the ring.  These black, bandage, gladiator-inspired sandals are from Wal-Mart!  Great buy, only $17, picked them up last week.  Go now before they are sold out, they also come in dark tan.
